Negedu has over 10 years’ experience working at the community, local, state and federal levels with diverse stakeholders (public, private, religious and non-religious) in the health and social sectors in Nigeria. His main areas of expertise are health system governance and leadership, performance management, healthcare financing and programme management. Thanks to this background, he understands different archetypes and ecosystems in the public and private sectors, where he has demonstrated problem-solving-driven iterative adaptive approaches to building state capabilities.
He worked as State Programme Manager with the Health Strategy and Delivery Foundation. During that time, he supported key stakeholders at all levels of government and private sector by providing strong analytical support and deploying innovative frameworks and tools to generate measurable and sustainable results. He coordinated and managed the organisation’s programmes, including:
- Performance Management Project;
- Shugabanchi Health System Strengthening Project;
- Maternal and Neonatal Healthcare Quality Improvement Initiative;
- Leadership Enhancement and Accountability for the Public Sector by Healthcare Leadership Academy.
Before joining PSA, Negedu was part of the Partnership for Transforming Health Systems II. He worked on various fronts: Monitoring & Evaluation, Sustainable Drugs Supply System, Service delivery and Healthcare Financing.
