Born and raised in Kaduna State, Nigeria-the centre of learning-Kolo is always open to new ideas and adapts positively to fast-changing situations. He is a friendly and dedicated team player with attention to detail.
Kolo directed his career towards decreasing maternal and newborn deaths in Northeast Nigeria, where the indices are some of the worst in the world. He became an expert in change communication, earning a senior position as Project Director for a number of health development projects in Nigeria, namely:
- Strengthening Accountability and Quality Improvement Project (SAQIP), Gombe State, Pact (West Africa);
- Strengthening Maternal Neonatal Child Health Frontline Workers Project, PACT (West Africa);
- National Malaria Program, SuNMaP, Malaria Consortium, Niger State.
Based on his day-to-day work, Kolo authored a number of abstracts on malaria and maternal and newborn health programmes in Nigeria, which were accepted at international conferences. Most recently, he presented them at the Institute for Healthcare Improvements’ 2018 conference on Quality and Safety in Healthcare for developing countries in Durban, South Africa.
With us, Kolo provides country-level leadership for PSA Nigeria. He directs and manages the implementation of programme initiatives and business development.
