Inauguration of Change Management Team (CMT) for the Niger State Public Health Supply Chain Transformation (SCT)

Minna, Niger, Nigeria, 31st May 2018. Niger State inaugurated their Change Management Team at a meeting held at the Haske Luxury Hotel. The team, comprising the Steering Committee and Operations Teams, will manage the process of their Supply Chain Transformation (SCT) internally, ensuring a smooth transition to an efficient system.
The formation of this team was an important step in the first phase of the transformation, aimed at improving the health supply chain for the greater good of the Niger people. The newly assembled CMT was quick to assign project responsibilities through a RACI matrix. This will be the basis for the coordination of transformation activities.

The event followed the 2nd – 8th May 2018 SCT Kick-Off Workshop, a strategic engagement meeting that set the ‘change agenda’ for improvement of the State Public Health Supply Chain. PSA facilitated both events as technical partner for Supply Chain Capacity Development (SCCD).

The Responsible, Accountable, Consulted, Informed (RACI) matrix is a responsibility assignment chart that maps out every task, milestone or key decision involved in completing a project and assigns which roles are Responsible for each action item, which personnel are Accountable, and, where appropriate, who needs to be Consulted or Informed (source).
Supply Chain Capacity Development (SCCD) is a holistic approach to increasing in-country capacity at individual and organisational levels to better manage an effective supply chain.
